Photography MINISTRY!! TOMORROW!!

We have a FUN shoot for tomorrow... a few brides for a Trash the Dress... brides will get to the church around 10:30ish and then shooting to begin at noon =)  IF you want to come PLAY we would LOVE to have you!!!

I am needing your HELP!  I have been so OVERWHELMED with moving and LIFE... that I forgot I promised to take Santa pix EVERY Sunday service til Christmas Eve =)  Now... I can do this by myself but I think that I may BURN out =)  HAHA!!  SO I am hoping that a few of you will come and join me in the FUN!  You will get to meet other Crossroads FAMILIES =)

I will need to take your card tho... because I am getting them printed for the Christmas Eve services!!

Hey all!  Next Tuesday - November 9th - Crossroads School is doing a Family Fun Night and they want to have photographers set up to take family pix! I think it will be dark so you would need to have lights - and a backdrop and all the stuff =)

I can't do it - but they are hoping that a few of you can help out!

This Sunday is our monthly Photography Ministry meeting!  AND I am so excited to have a Canon rep coming... so if you have QUESTIONS about your Canon camera... BRING IT!! =)

AND for those of YOU that are shooting at Brianna and Donald's wedding on the 23rd - I want to have a quick meeting around 5:30 to go over the schedule and KNOW who is coming and when!!  PLEASE COME if you are shooting!!

ALSO... for those of you wanting to upload your pix to the church site... bring your computer OR note pad so you can learn how!!! =)

3) Challenge for this month: before and after shot - and a shot that best fits Psalm 107, and any verse you would like
4) October 17th - Children's Ministry needs photographers like last week to shoot people who purchase fast track check in's
5) October 23rd - Brianna Burton's Wedding - 3 pm
6) October 29th - Mascarade Ball - Generate
7) October 31st - Trunk n Treasure - Barry has offered to do the lights and back drop - everyone else, candids would be great - and if you have props that could be used for Barry's backdrop that would be great!!!
8) Dec 4 - Help Portraits at OC Rescue Mission - David and John are the contacts for this - I can shoot, but I really don't have the time  to take the lead on this one
9) November 20 - Dec 23rd - Pics with Sunday Safe House - Riverside Plaza - I am not sure who is the contact for this event -
10) Baptism shooters for this Sunday are: 9 am - Tim Mills, 11 am Christina - 5:30 John Estep (David can't shoot this Sunday)

TOMORROW!!

Tomorrow is our Crossroads Photography Ministry MEETING!  4PM in the Family room!

THEN AFTER that we will TEACH anyone that wants to learn about their cameras!!  We do have a Nikon PRO with us too... so BRING them all!!  AND we have a family and couples to practice with! =)

IF you have a backdrop... can you PLEASE bring one!  Russell wants to set up lights and use a backdrop to practice with  =)  THANKS to those of you that do!!

Our challenges are John 3:16... no crosses =)  AND a before and after of your choice!!!  I can't wait to SEE what you all got!!!  WOOHOO!!

Our next Ministry Meeting is Sunday - September 19th at 4pm in the Family Room... afterwards IF you want to learn your cameras we will be available to teach - we even have a Nikon guy coming to HELP!  HAHA!! SO you Nikon Shooters come on out and there will be REAL help this time!!!  I have a family that is willing to be our models for that night so we can practice too!!

Baptism Sunday =)

THIS SUNDAY!!  WOOHOO!  Ok... Photogs that can shoot PLEASE be there at 8:45 AM so that we can assign pools!!  I do NOT have enough shooters for each pool yet... IF you can shoot PLEASE let me know!!

This is a really emotional time to shoot... YOU WILL BE BLESSED =)

STUFF coming up =)

WOW!  Summer has FLOWN BY!  Sorry for NOT keeping up with the blog... we have been gone a LOT this summer - and still a few more trips coming up =)

We do have our REGULAR monthly meeting this SUNDAY at 4:00 in the Family Room - if you need to know where that is... just ask! =)  AND the challenge is Before and After - 2 shots side by side  AND  a photo of Ephesians 6:11 - what YOU think it is =)  

BUT this Saturday - August 14th -  is an ALL CHURCH WORK DAY!  And if you are available to take a few photos of the ministries working together to clean and paint the church grounds... that would be a BLESSING for all of us!! I have a wedding to shoot but I hope to get there a little early to get a few  =)

We will have a few more things... BUT we can talk about those on Sunday!

Hey all... Tonight during the evening service Imam going to shoot a few of the guys... One of them is heading home to Germany and they want pix together!! 5:30 out front!!

Tomorrow will be a fun shoot too... Maternity shoot with grandparents too!! At the church and field and fountains... 6:30 out front too!!! That's where we will start!!

Info for the SUMMER!!

WOW!  I am finally getting to post this =)  Here is the email that Jennifer sent out with all of the info from the LAST meeting!  It was packed with STUFF =)


1) No Meeting this month

2) Next meeting will be August 15th

3) There will be 2 challenges - the first one is a before and after shot and your choice, and then, our next challenge is taking a scripture and shooting something that best reflects that scripture for you, the scripture to look at and be reflecting on when you shoot is Ephesians 6:11

4) We are hoping to have some kind of classes beginning in Sept - some topics include: Learning  your camera, Light Painting, Photoshop, and Creating your own actions - and if anyone can think of anything else you might like to have as a class, please let us know - but other than that, we will keep you all posted!!!

5) Hoping to have photography ministry table in September as well so others will become aware of who we are, what we do, and open the door for them to join us!!!!

6) Looking into having a retreat for the ministry in maybe late fall early winter

7) October 23rd is Breanna and Donald's wedding, and if you would like to shoot any portion of it, please let Pam know

8) Upcoming shoots that have yet to be scheduled: Neon Duck Tape Seran Wrap Newspaper, Piano Shoot, and the Corona, Norco Rescue Mission - We will keep you posted with dates once we have them!!

Things to KNOW... this week!

Hi everyone!!

Well... FIRST of all... I am going to cancel our FUN shoot for this Sunday!  I am so SORRY but I don't feel that great today and I started to get into the planning of it and I just don't know if I will feel up to it on Sunday!  AND I WANT to be there!!!  =)

TONIGHT is the start of VBS!  I hope you all have your lanyards and are ready to shoot!!  AND they want all our pix that we take tonight - tonight =)

I will write more once I am feeling a bit better!!

I am writing this on the airplane while we are in the air!! And posting!!! This makes the flight go by so much faster!!

NO CLASS TONIGHT!!!

Hey Photography Ministry...  =)  We will not be having class tonight!!  Our teacher has a job that is FAR away and he won't make it back in time... SO Class will be cancelled for a while =)

Our Challenge this month is - animal - so anything that you think of that is "animal" is GREAT!!! 


We will be talking about some events coming up - especially VBS!


AFTER the meeting we will be shooting a young man that wants head shots... IF you can join us that would be FUN!!! =)

HEY Crossroads PHOTOGRAPHERS...

We have a FUN shoot planned for tomorrow night... two young ladies are going to be wearing their PROM DRESSES for us to shoot them in!  We will meet at 5:30 in front of the Chapel =)

It will be FUN!  I know it is Father's Day... so if you need to be with your DAD... that is GREAT too!!  WE will be doing more of these!!

REMEMBER NEXT Sunday at 4:00 in the Family Room is our regular meeting... LOTS of stuff to share!!!

IF You are available to shoot this SUNDAY at 10:30AM - you are welcome to join us! We are meeting IN the GREEN ROOM and shooting on the dock...    It is for a new Volunteer Ministry that Crossroads is wanting to get started - AND I will be IN the photos with ALL of the STAFF kids from the church =)  I am so excited to get to SEE all of the KIDS at one time =) WOOHOO!!

IF you are wanting to volunteer... they are wanting Grandma's and Grandpa's to come and care for the staff kids during the week!  IF YOU MISS your Grand KIDS... this just may be the ministry for YOU!!

Hi Everyone!!  I just wanted to let you know that I cancelled our PIANO engagement shoot that was supposed to be this THURSDAY evening... =)  I just NEED to BE ready for a baby to arrive =)  We will get it on the calendar for the end of August!!  I am bummed... but I want to be there IF it happens on Thursday =)  HAHA!!

YAY! I got it UP and running...
